11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ[a]—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.

12 And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters,[b] that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. 13 For everyone here, including the whole palace guard,[c] knows that I am in chains because of Christ.

Paul’s Chains Advance the Gospel
12 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters,[a] that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard[b] and to everyone else that I am in chains(B) for Christ.
