6 I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete[a] it until the day of Jesus Christ. 7 It is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I hold you in my heart,[b] for all of you are my partners in God’s grace,[c] both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.(A) 8 For God is my witness, how I long for all of you with the tender affection of Christ Jesus.(B)

6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion(A) until the day of Christ Jesus.(B)

7 It is right(C) for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart(D) and, whether I am in chains(E) or defending(F) and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. 8 God can testify(G) how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
