⁶The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood,
but the speech of the upright rescues them.^(A)

²⁶for wicked men live among My people.
They watch like fowlers lying in wait.^[a]^(A)
They set a trap;^(B)
they catch men.

who lie in wait^(B) like men who snare birds
