Proverbs 13:2-4
International Children’s Bible
2 A person will be rewarded for what he says.
But those who can’t be trusted want only violence.
3 Whoever is careful about what he says protects his life.
But anyone who speaks without thinking will be ruined.
4 The lazy person will not get what he wants.
But a hard worker gets everything he wants.

2 From the fruit of their lips people enjoy good things,(A)
but the unfaithful have an appetite for violence.
3 Those who guard their lips(B) preserve their lives,(C)
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.(D)
4 A sluggard’s appetite is never filled,(E)
but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
