Proverbs 14:11-13

¹¹The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish.

¹²There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.

¹³Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is sadness.

¹¹The house of the wicked will be destroyed,^(A)
but the tent of the upright will flourish.^(B)

¹²There is a way that appears to be right,^(C)
but in the end it leads to death.^(D)

¹³Even in laughter^(E) the heart may ache,
and rejoicing may end in grief.
