Proverbs 14:14-16

¹⁴¶ The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man shall be separated from him.

¹⁵¶ The simple believes every word, but the prudent man understands his steps.

¹⁶¶ The wise man fears and departs from evil, but the fool rages and is confident.

Proverbs 14:14-16

New International Version

¹⁴The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways,^(A)
and the good rewarded for theirs.^(B)

¹⁵The simple believe anything,
but the prudent give thought to their steps.^(C)

¹⁶The wise fear the Lord and shun evil,^(D)
