Proverbs 14:3-5

³Foolish words cause you trouble; wise words protect you.

⁴A barn with no cattle might be clean, but strong bulls are needed for a good harvest.

⁵A good witness is one who does not lie. A bad witness is a liar who cannot be trusted.

³A fool’s mouth lashes out with pride,^(A)
but the lips of the wise protect them.^(B)

⁴Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty,
but from the strength of an ox^(C) come abundant harvests.

⁵An honest witness does not deceive,
but a false witness pours out lies.^(D)
