Proverbs 16:10-12

¹⁰God’s verdict is on the lips of a king;^[a]^(A)
his mouth should not give an unfair judgment.^(B)

¹¹Honest balances and scales are the Lord’s;
all the weights in the bag^[b] are His concern.^(C)

¹²Wicked behavior^[c] is detestable to kings,^(D)
since a throne is established through righteousness.^(E)

¹⁰The lips of a king speak as an oracle,
and his mouth does not betray justice.^(A)

¹¹Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord;
all the weights in the bag are of his making.^(B)

¹²Kings detest wrongdoing,
