Proverbs 17:11-13

¹¹Those who are evil only want to cause trouble. In the end, punishment without mercy will be sent to them.

¹²It is better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool who is busy doing foolish things.

¹³If you do wrong to those who were good to you, you will have trouble the rest of your life.

New International Version

¹¹Evildoers foster rebellion against God;
the messenger of death will be sent against them.

¹²Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs
than a fool bent on folly.^(A)

¹³Evil will never leave the house
of one who pays back evil^(B) for good.^(C)
