New International Version

⁷The mouths of fools are their undoing,
and their lips are a snare^(A) to their very lives.^(B)

¹⁹One who ^(A)goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets;
Therefore do not associate with ^[a]^(B)a gossip.

¹⁹A gossip betrays a confidence;^(A)
so avoid anyone who talks too much.
