Proverbs 19:1-3

19 ¶ Better is the poor that walks in his integrity than he that is perverse in his lips and is a fool.

²¶ That the soul be without wisdom is not good, and he that hastens with his feet sins.

³¶ The foolishness of man perverts his way, and his heart is wroth against the LORD.

Proverbs 19:1-3

19 Better the poor whose walk is blameless
than a fool whose lips are perverse.^(A)

²Desire without knowledge is not good—
how much more will hasty feet miss the way!^(B)

³A person’s own folly^(C) leads to their ruin,
yet their heart rages against the Lord.^(D)
