¹⁹A short-tempered man must bear his own penalty; you can’t do much to help him. If you try once, you must try a dozen times!

²⁰Get all the advice you can and be wise the rest of your life.

²¹Man proposes, but God disposes.

Proverbs 19:19-21

New International Version

¹⁹A hot-tempered person must pay the penalty;
rescue them, and you will have to do it again.

²⁰Listen to advice and accept discipline,^(A)
and at the end you will be counted among the wise.^(B)

²¹Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.^(C)
