Proverbs 20:1

New King James Version

20 Wine ^(A)is a mocker,
Strong drink is a brawler,
And whoever is led astray by it is not wise.

New International Version

20 Wine^(A) is a mocker^(B) and beer a brawler;
whoever is led astray^(C) by them is not wise.^(D)

¹⁸And ^(A)do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

¹⁸Do not get drunk on wine,^(A) which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,^(B)
