Proverbs 21:10-12

¹⁰An evil man loves to harm others; being a good neighbor is out of his line.

¹¹The wise man learns by listening; the simpleton can learn only by seeing scorners punished.

¹²God, the Righteous One, knows what is going on in the homes of the wicked and will bring the wicked to judgment.

Proverbs 21:10-12

New International Version

¹⁰The wicked crave evil;
their neighbors get no mercy from them.

¹¹When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom;
by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge.^(A)

¹²The Righteous One^[a] takes note of the house of the wicked
and brings the wicked to ruin.^(B)

¹⁰The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.

¹¹When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.

¹²The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
