Proverbs 21:11-13

¹¹Punish a person who makes fun of wisdom, and he will become wise.
But just teach a wise person, and he will get knowledge.

¹²God, who is always right, sees the house of the wicked.
And he brings about the ruin of every evil person.

¹³If you ignore the poor when they cry for help,
you also will cry for help and not be answered.

Proverbs 21:11-13

New International Version

¹¹When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom;
by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge.^(A)

¹²The Righteous One^[a] takes note of the house of the wicked
and brings the wicked to ruin.^(B)

¹³Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor
will also cry out^(C) and not be answered.^(D)
