Proverbs 21:11-13

¹¹If you punish those who make fun of wisdom, a foolish person may gain some wisdom.
But if you teach the wise, they will get knowledge.

¹²God, who is always right, watches the house of the wicked
and brings ruin on every evil person.

¹³Whoever ignores the poor when they cry for help
will also cry for help and not be answered.

Proverbs 21:11-13

¹¹When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom;
by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge.^(A)

¹²The Righteous One^[a] takes note of the house of the wicked
and brings the wicked to ruin.^(B)

¹³Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor
will also cry out^(C) and not be answered.^(D)
