Proverbs 22:8-10

Good News Translation

⁸If you plant the seeds of injustice, disaster will spring up, and your oppression of others will end.

⁹Be generous and share your food with the poor. You will be blessed for it.

¹⁰Get rid of a conceited person, and then there will be no more arguments, quarreling, or name-calling.

Proverbs 22:8-10

New International Version

⁸Whoever sows injustice reaps calamity,^(A)
and the rod they wield in fury will be broken.^(B)

⁹The generous will themselves be blessed,^(C)
for they share their food with the poor.^(D)

¹⁰Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife;
quarrels and insults are ended.^(E)
