Proverbs 23:11-13

¹¹God, their ·defender [redeemer], is strong;
he will ·take their side [bring charges; make accusations] against you.

¹²·Remember what you are taught [^LBring your heart to discipline/instruction],
·and listen carefully [^Lyour ear] to words of knowledge.

¹³Don’t ·fail to punish [^Lwithhold instruction/discipline from] children.
If you ·spank them [^Lstrike them with a rod], they won’t die.
