Proverbs 28:13-15

¹³It will not go well for the man who hides his sins, but he who tells his sins and turns from them will be given loving-pity.

¹⁴Happy is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who makes his heart hard will fall into trouble.

¹⁵A sinful ruler over poor people is like a lion making noise or a bear running to fight.

Proverbs 28:13-15

New International Version

¹³Whoever conceals their sins^(A) does not prosper,
but the one who confesses^(B) and renounces them finds mercy.^(C)

¹⁴Blessed is the one who always trembles before God,
but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.

¹⁵Like a roaring lion or a charging bear
is a wicked ruler over a helpless people.

¹³He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

¹⁴Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

¹⁵As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
