Proverbs 28:21-23

²¹¶ To have respect of persons in judgment is not good; even for a piece of bread, man will transgress.

²²¶ He that hastens to be rich has an evil eye and does not consider that poverty shall come upon him.

²³¶ He that rebukes a man, afterwards shall find more favour than he that flatters with the tongue.

²¹To show partiality^(A) is not good^(B)—
yet a person will do wrong for a piece of bread.^(C)

²²The stingy are eager to get rich
and are unaware that poverty awaits them.^(D)

²³Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor
rather than one who has a flattering tongue.^(E)
