Proverbs 29:12-14

¹²A wicked ruler will have wicked aides on his staff.

¹³Rich and poor are alike in this: each depends on God for light.

¹⁴A king who is fair to the poor shall have a long reign.

Proverbs 29:12-14

New International Version

¹²If a ruler^(A) listens to lies,
all his officials become wicked.^(B)

¹³The poor and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.^(C)

¹⁴If a king judges the poor with fairness,
his throne will be established forever.^(D)
