Proverbs 29:13-15 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

13 The poor and the usurer meet together, and the Lord lightened both their eyes.

14 A King that judgeth the poor in truth, his throne shall be established forever.

15 The rod and correction give wisdom, but a child set at liberty, maketh his mother ashamed.

Proverbs 29:13-15 New International Version (NIV)

13 The poor and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.

14 If a king judges the poor with fairness,
his throne will be established forever.

15 A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom,
but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.
