^17 (A)Haughty eyes, a ^(B)lying tongue,
And hands that ^(C)shed innocent blood,

¹¹ The ^[a](A)proud look of humanity will be brought low,
And the ^(B)arrogance of people will be humbled;
And the Lord alone will be exalted on that day.

¹⁵ So the common people will be humbled and the person of importance brought low,
^(A)The eyes of the haughty also will be brought low.
