²³ Though he was delivered up according to God’s determined plan and foreknowledge, you used^[a] lawless people to nail him to a cross and kill him.^(A)

²⁸ to do whatever your hand and your will had predestined to take place.

¹⁶ But get up and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and a witness of what you have seen and will see of me.^(A)

²⁸ We know that all things work together^[a] for the good^[b] of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.^(A)

¹¹ For though her sons had not been born yet or done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to election might stand^(A)—

¹¹ In him we have also received an inheritance,^[a] because we were predestined^(A) according to the plan of the one who works out everything in agreement with the purpose of his will,

¹³ For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to his good purpose.
