Psalm 105:25

²⁵He caused the Egyptians^[a] to hate his people,
and to mistreat^[b] his servants.

Psalm 105:25 tn Heb “their heart.”
Psalm 105:25 tn Or “to deal deceptively.” The Hitpael of נָכַל (nakhal) occurs only here and in Gen 37:18, where it is used of Joseph’s brothers “plotting” to kill him.

²⁵whose hearts he turned^(A) to hate his people,
to conspire^(B) against his servants.

²⁵He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
