¹¹ He says to himself, “God has forgotten;
He hides His face and will never see.”^(A)

¹³ Why has the wicked person despised God?
He says to himself, “You will not demand an account.”^(A)

¹⁵ For you said, “We have cut a deal with Death,
and we have made an agreement with Sheol;
when the overwhelming scourge passes through,^(A)
it will not touch us,
because we have made falsehood our refuge
and have hidden behind treachery.”

30 Woe to the rebellious children!^(A)
This is the Lord’s declaration.
They carry out a plan,^(B) but not Mine;
they make an alliance,
but against My will,
piling sin on top of sin.
