³³For they provoked his spirit, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.

³⁴They did not destroy the peoples, as Jehovah commanded them;

³⁵But they mingled with the nations, and learned their works;

³³for they rebelled^(A) against the Spirit^(B) of God,
and rash words came from Moses’ lips.^[a]^(C)

³⁴They did not destroy^(D) the peoples
as the Lord had commanded^(E) them,
³⁵but they mingled^(F) with the nations
and adopted their customs.
