5 That I may see the (A)prosperity of Your chosen ones,
That I may (B)rejoice in the gladness of Your nation,
That I may (C)glory with Your [a]inheritance.

6 (D)We have sinned [b](E)like our fathers,
We have committed iniquity, we have behaved wickedly.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your [c]wonders;
They (F)did not remember [d]Your abundant kindnesses,
But (G)rebelled by the sea, at the [e]Red Sea.
