⁵ The Lord examines the righteous,^(A)
    but the wicked, those who love violence,
    he hates with a passion.^(B)

⁸     the Lord gives sight^(A) to the blind,^(B)
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,^(C)
    the Lord loves the righteous.^(D)

⁹ The Lord detests the way of the wicked,^(A)
    but he loves those who pursue righteousness.^(B)
