¹⁸His enemies I will ^(A)clothe with shame,
but on him his crown will shine.”

¹⁸I will clothe his enemies with shame,^(A)
but his head will be adorned with a radiant crown.”^(B)

¹⁶^(A)having a good conscience, so that, ^(B)when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

¹⁶keeping a clear conscience,^(A) so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.^(B)
