³He who ^(A)does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
^(B)Nor does he ^[a]take up a reproach against his friend;

³whose tongue utters no slander,^(A)
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;

⁵Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor,
Him I will destroy;
^(A)The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart,
Him I will not endure.

⁵Whoever slanders their neighbor^(A) in secret,
I will put to silence;
whoever has haughty eyes^(B) and a proud heart,
I will not tolerate.
