2 I said to him, “You are my Lord; I have no other help but yours.” 3 I want the company of the godly men and women in the land; they are the true nobility. 4 Those choosing other gods shall all be filled with sorrow; I will not offer the sacrifices they do or even speak the names of their gods.

2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;(A)
apart from you I have no good thing.”(B)
3 I say of the holy people(C) who are in the land,(D)
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods(E) will suffer(F) more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names(G) on my lips.
