⁸ Good and upright^(A) is the Lord;
    therefore he instructs^(B) sinners in his ways.

³⁹ The salvation^(A) of the righteous comes from the Lord;
    he is their stronghold in time of trouble.^(B)

⁴⁰ The Lord helps^(A) them and delivers^(B) them;
    he delivers them from the wicked and saves^(C) them,
    because they take refuge^(D) in him.

⁵ For the Lord is good^(A) and his love endures forever;^(B)
    his faithfulness^(C) continues through all generations.
