New King James Version

5 Because (A)they do not regard the works of the Lord,
Nor the operation of His hands,
He shall destroy them
And not build them up.

6 Blessed be the Lord,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!
7 The Lord is (B)my strength and my shield;
My heart (C)trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.

5 Because they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord
    and what his hands have done,(A)
he will tear them down
    and never build them up again.

6 Praise be to the Lord,(B)
    for he has heard my cry for mercy.(C)
7 The Lord is my strength(D) and my shield;
    my heart trusts(E) in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,(F)
    and with my song I praise him.(G)
