Psalm 3:2

New International Version

²Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.^(A)”^[a]

Psalm 3:2 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here and at the end of verses 4 and 8.

King James Version

²Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

⁷Arise,^(A) Lord!
Deliver me,^(B) my God!
Strike^(C) all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth^(D) of the wicked.

⁷Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

²²Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!”^(A)
Wait for the Lord, and he will avenge you.^(B)

²²Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee.
