9 For (A)He spoke, and it was;
He commanded, and it [a]stood.
10 Yahweh (B)nullifies the counsel of the nations;
He frustrates the thoughts of the peoples.
11 The (C)counsel of Yahweh stands forever,
The (D)thoughts of His heart from generation to generation.

10 The Lord foils(B) the plans(C) of the nations;(D)
    he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm(E) forever,
    the purposes(F) of his heart through all generations.
