but the Lord rescues them from them all.^(A)

¹⁹The righteous person may have many troubles,^(A)
but the Lord delivers him from them all;^(B)

³so that no one would be shaken by these persecutions. Indeed, you yourselves know that this is what we are destined for.^(A)
