²⁴When ^(A)he falls, he will not be hurled headlong,
Because ^(B)Yahweh is the One ^[a]who sustains his hand.

New International Version

²⁴though he may stumble, he will not fall,^(A)
for the Lord upholds^(B) him with his hand.

⁸^(A)Do not be glad over me, O ^(B)my enemy.
Though I fall I will ^(C)rise;
Though I inhabit the darkness, Yahweh is a ^(D)light for me.

⁸Do not gloat over me,^(A) my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will rise.^(B)
Though I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be my light.^(C)
