New American Standard Bible

38 But wrongdoers will altogether be (A)destroyed;
The future of the wicked will be (B)eliminated.
39 But the (C)salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their strength (D)in time of trouble.
40 (E)The Lord helps them and rescues them;
He (F)rescues them from the wicked and saves them,
Because they (G)take refuge in Him.

    there will be no future[a] for the wicked.(C)

39 The salvation(D) of the righteous comes from the Lord;
    he is their stronghold in time of trouble.(E)
40 The Lord helps(F) them and delivers(G) them;
    he delivers them from the wicked and saves(H) them,
    because they take refuge(I) in him.
