⁹^(A)He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
^(B)He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
^(C)He burns the chariot in the fire.

New International Version

⁹He makes wars^(A) cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow^(B) and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields^[a] with fire.^(C)

⁶^(A)Elam bore the quiver
With chariots of men and horsemen,
And ^(B)Kir uncovered the shield.

⁶Elam^(A) takes up the quiver,^(B)
with her charioteers and horses;
Kir^(C) uncovers the shield.
