Fair and beautiful in elevation, the joy of all the earth,
Is Mount Zion [the City of David] in the far north,
The city of the great King.^(A)

²Beautiful^(A) in its loftiness,
the joy of the whole earth,
like the heights of Zaphon^[a]^(B) is Mount Zion,^(C)

“Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.
Where, then, is a house that you could build for Me?
And where will My resting place be?^(A)
