Psalm 48:6-8
Common English Bible
6 Trembling took hold of them right there—
like a woman giving birth,
7 or like the east wind when it smashes
the ships of Tarshish.
8 Just like we had heard,
now we’ve seen it for ourselves
in the city of the Lord of heavenly forces,
in the city of our God.
May God make it secure forever! Selah

6 Fear (A)took hold of them there,
And pain, as of a woman in birth pangs,
7 As when You break the (B)ships of Tarshish
With an east wind.
8 As we have heard,
So we have seen
In the city of the Lord of hosts,
In the city of our God:
God will (C)establish it forever. Selah
