⁷He rules forever with his power.
·He keeps his eye [^LHis eyes keep watch] on the nations,
so ·people should not turn [the rebellious might not rise] against him. ·Selah [Interlude]

⁸You people, ·praise [bless] our God;
·loudly sing his praise [^Llet the sound of his praise be heard].
⁹He ·protects our lives [^Lsets our lives among the living]
and does not let ·us be defeated [^Lour feet be moved].
