⁹ O let ^(A)the evil of the wicked come to an end, but ^(B)establish the righteous;
For the righteous God ^(C)tests the hearts and ^[a]minds.

⁵ Yahweh ^(A)tests the righteous,
But ^(B)the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

^23 (A)Search me, O God, and know my heart;
^(B)Try me and know my anxious thoughts;

¹⁰ I, Yahweh, ^(A)search the heart;
I test the ^[a]inmost being,
Even ^(B)to give to each man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his deeds.
