New King James Version
54 And He brought them to His (A)holy border,
This mountain (B)which His right hand had acquired.
55 (C)He also drove out the nations before them,
(D)Allotted them an inheritance by [a]survey,
And made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.
56 (E)Yet they tested and provoked the Most High God,
And did not keep His testimonies,

54 And so he brought them to the border of his holy land,
to the hill country his right hand(A) had taken.
55 He drove out nations(B) before them
and allotted their lands to them as an inheritance;(C)
he settled the tribes of Israel in their homes.
56 But they put God to the test
and rebelled against the Most High;
they did not keep his statutes.
