2 (A)From the mouths of infants and nursing babies You have established [a](B)strength
Because of Your enemies,
To do away with (C)the enemy and the revengeful.
3 When I [b](D)consider (E)Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The (F)moon and the stars, which You have set in place;
4 (G)What is man that You think of him,
And a son of man that You are concerned about him?

2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold(A) against your enemies,
to silence the foe(B) and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,(C)
the work of your fingers,(D)
the moon and the stars,(E)
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[a](F)
