16 The Lord has revealed Himself;
He has executed justice,(A)
striking down[a] the wicked[b]
by the work of their hands.(B)Higgaion. Selah

17 The wicked will return to Sheol(C)—
all the nations that forget God.(D)
18 For the oppressed will not always be forgotten;
the hope of the afflicted[c] will not perish forever.(E)

Psalm 9:16-18
New International Version

16 The Lord is known by his acts of justice;
    the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.[a](A)
17 The wicked go down to the realm of the dead,(B)
    all the nations that forget God.(C)
18 But God will never forget the needy;
    the hope(D) of the afflicted(E) will never perish.
