Psalm 95:7-9 American Standard Version (ASV)

For he is our God,
And we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
To-day, [a]oh that ye would hear his voice!
Harden not your heart, as at [b]Meribah,
As in the day of [c]Massah in the wilderness;
When your fathers tempted me,
Proved me, and saw my work.

Footnotes:

  1. Psalm 95:7 Or, if ye will hear his voice, Harden etc.
  2. Psalm 95:8 That is, strife.
  3. Psalm 95:8 That is, temptation.

    as you did that day at Massah[b] in the wilderness,
where your ancestors tested me;
