²⁵ Long ago You established the earth,
and the heavens are the work of Your hands.^(A)
26 They will perish, but You will endure;
all of them will wear out like clothing.
You will change them like a garment,
and they will pass away.^(B)
27 But You are the same,
and Your years will never end.^(C)

¹⁰ Indeed, the stars of the sky and its constellations^[a]
will not give their light.
The sun will be dark when it rises,
and the moon will not shine.^(A)

⁶ Look up to the heavens,
and look at the earth beneath;
for the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment,
and its inhabitants will die like gnats.^[a](A)
But My salvation will last forever,^(B)
and My righteousness will never be shattered.

¹⁵ The sun and moon will grow dark,
and the stars will cease their shining.^(A)
