117 ^(A)Praise the Lord, all nations;
Sing His praises, all peoples!

¹⁹ Lord, my ^(A)strength and my stronghold,
And my ^(B)refuge in the day of distress,
To You the ^(C)nations will come
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Our fathers have inherited nothing but ^(D)falsehood,
Futility, and ^[a](E)things of no benefit.”

^2 (A)Many nations will come and say,
“^(B)Come and let’s go up to the mountain of the Lord
And to the house of the God of Jacob,
So that ^(C)He may teach us about His ways,
And that we may walk in His paths.”
For ^(D)from Zion will go forth the law,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
³ And He will ^(E)judge between many peoples
And render decisions for mighty, ^[a]distant nations.
Then they will beat their swords ^(F)into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation will not lift a sword against nation,
And never again will they ^[b]train for war.
